Mobil Rudal Nuklir Siap Pecahkan Rekor Tercepat

Sebuah mobil yang memiliki bentuk aneh muncul di gurun Mojave. Meski aneh, mobil ini siap merenggut gelar tercepat di Bumi. Seperti apa?
Mobil buatan Waldo Stakes ini mampu melaju di kecepatan 3218km/jam. Bagian-bagian dari pesawat roket militer X-15, modul layanan pesawat luar angkasa Apollo NASA dan rudal nuklir Redstone dan Corporal disatukan untuk membuat Sonic Wind Land Speed Record Vehicle (LSRV).
Pria yang merupakan kontraktor umum ini menghabiskan sebagian besar waktunya untuk Sonic Wind. Stakes berencana menggunakan campuran bahan bakar methanol dan oksigen cair untuk membuat Sonic Wind ini lebih dari bom kendali seperti dikutip DM.
Menurutnya, hal tersulit yang akan dihadapinya adalah melewati 'perisai suara' atau sekitar 1235km/jam di mana udara tak lagi bergerak. Pemecahan rekor yang akan dilakukan beberapa tahun ke depan ini akan dilakukan di Salar de Uyuni di Bolovia.
